Columbia set a team record for victories in a season by improving to 29-18 with a 4-3, 10-inning victory at Bucknell on Saturday. They went 15-5 in conference play and earned consecutive Ivy League championships for the third time, and the first since 1960-61.
They begin play in the N.C.A.A. tournament Friday as part of the Coral Gables Regional hosted by Miami (41-17), the region’s top seed. The third-seeded Lions will face second-seeded Texas Tech (40-18). Bethune-Cookman (26-31) completes the region.
