Andrea has served as a consultant, in a broad array of several organizations including: Planet Money, National Public Radio; (Independent) Elliot Management Corporation; External Consultant, East-West Management Institute mission advising the master in public administration graduate program at Ilia State University, Georgia, June 2011 and November 2013 Consultant, Brattle Group; Moore Capital Management, LLC; World-Bank-Institute mission advising the economic policy management graduate program at University of Tokyo; and World-Bank-Institute mission advising economic policy management programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia and Mozambique.
Andrea’s other academic appointments include: Executive Director of the International Finance and Economic Policy Concentration, School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, July 2013 – present; Director of the Economics Core, School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, 2011 – present; Visiting Senior Lecturer, Economics Department, Yale University, 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2015; Visiting Senior Lecturer, MacMillan Center, Yale University, 2010; Fellow of International Affairs, MacMillan Center, Yale University, Spring 2008.
Andrea has received several distinguished teacher awards at Columbia. His education includes: Ph.D. in Economics, Columbia University, 2004; Dottorato di Ricerca in Economics, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, 2002; M.Phil. in Economics, 2000, Columbia University; M.A. in Economics, Coripe Piemonte University of Turin, 1997; Laurea in Economics (summa cum laude) University of Rome “La Sapienza”, 1996.
